A Call for Liberty

This is Pastor Steve Cassell from Beloved Church.

I am truly honored and humbled to see support from so many places and so many authentic people. Obviously our critics, attackers and detractors are in FULL FORCE against us, so the “remnant,” of patriotic and God-fearing voices greatly touch us.

We have obviously been cast into a fight that we never desired, but we believe it is important to battle because the Religious Freedoms of 13.1 million Illinois citizens has been crushed under the tyranny of oppression. Additionally, the First Amendment rights (including the freedom of the press, freedom of speech, the ability to redress the government of grievances, and the right to peaceably assemble) are under MASSIVE assault for all 330 million Americans. As a Christian and a Patriot, I cannot sit this one out. Love COMPELS me to action. What we do in this moment could literally affect the lives of hundreds of millions of yet unborn Americans. We have filed a federal lawsuit to defend these inalienable rights and would deeply covet your help and support in that endeavor.

The church and the patriots of our nation have become accustomed to having their voice and their rights slowly diminished in the halls of legislation and the courtrooms of public opinion. Our freedoms have been purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and the countless millions of fallen soldiers who committed their lives and personal fortunes to the simplicity of “Justice and Liberty for ALL”. This is the time and this is the moment to say, “Enough is enough!” As the scriptures simply state,” Why sit we here until we die?”

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Our mission and vision is to love and help people with all of the needs of their spirit, soul and body. This is nearly impossible to do from a ZOOM conference and that was NEVER the context of the Great Commission that we have been called to. There are powerful and necessary things that take place in the assembly that our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to observe (Heb 10:25). Liberty and freedom are very expensive but well worth the cost.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin

I am humbled and honored to have your support, prayers and encouragement. If there is anything I can do to serve you or your family, please do not hesitate to reach out to me anytime! My life is on the alter and it is my joy to be the servant of all.

If you have a desire to assist our endeavors for liberty AND for the essentiality of the Kingdom, here are some ways you can join us in this good fight:

1. Participate in encouraging the church (universal) to support us in the media, public square and messaging. Much of this victory depends on positive public support.

2. Help establish and advocate for connections to Christian and/or conservative media outlets (news, YouTube, bloggers, social media activists, radio, TV) to help us get a stirring and traction from like-minded people.

3. Faith-filled prayers of encouragement and favor throughout the process.

4. Prayers for Kay (my beautiful bride). Her husband is being maligned/accused/attacked and it has heavily weighed on her heart…

5. Connections to any key players that can help with the above needs. I pray peace and favor over you and your family.

I pray peace and favor over you and your family.

In love and grace,

Pastor Steve Cassell
